As a health-conscious person, I drink teas and tisanes every day, including a variety of ingredients that help me cover the whole nine yards of benefits to my health. Fennel seeds are packed with vitamin C. As surprising as it is, these seeds are an excellent source of antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory oils, where consuming fennel alleviates cold or flu-like symptoms. Indian cooking calls for the addition of cumin and fennel seeds as part of a natural incorporation of healthy seeds. Cumin seeds are rich in iron and dietary fiber and helps boost immunity. Fennel seeds are traditionally eaten after a meal in India, where they are more to freshen the breath and aid in digestion. Gingerole, the main bioactive compound in ginger, is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Due to the powerful medicinal properties of gingerole, adding ginger can help lower blood sugars, aid in weight loss, treat nausea and even chronic indigestion. Adding them to a tisane helps cleanse and de-toxify the body naturally. I drink this tisane on a rotational basis every month, giving room for all the other combinations that I will be posting here. Drink to your good health and well-being!
